In this episode of Brainerd Redefined, I’m going to talk all about the lifestyle you can expect when living here in Brainerd Lakes. We’ll look at three main things people love about life here so you can decide if this is the right move for you.
Making The Move
Many people have moved into the Brainerd Lakes area from out of state during COVID. We’ve had literally tens—if not hundreds—of clients make the move from outside Minnesota to the Brainerd Lakes area. Clients from Florida, California, New Jersey, and Illinois have all decided to make the move.
Additionally, with the ability to work remotely and via Zoom, we’re seeing a lot of clients purchasing homes because they can work from the comfort of their own homes. After visiting with some of these buyers that have relocated here to the Brainerd Lakes area, there are three main things they say they love about making the transition here to Central Minnesota.
Lake Life And Friendly Neighbors
The first thing people love about living in Brainerd is all the lakes. They love the fact that they can go out for dinner by boat, take a canoe ride, or kayak at their leisure and enjoy mother nature at its finest. We have some of the most beautiful scenic lake shore in the entire Midwest, at least in my opinion.
The second thing people have commented to me is how nice everybody is in the Brainerd Lakes area. When you come to Minnesota, they say “Minnesota Nice.” In Brainerd Lakes, that’s true times two. People are friendly and neighborly, and they like to get to know their neighbors.
They also wave when you’re walking down the road, which is something you don’t see in a lot of different states. We’ve been blessed to have a small town feel but still have a lot of big town amenities.
An Ideal Location
The third thing people love about living right here in the Brainerd Lakes area is its proximity to Minneapolis. They love the fact that they can drive down and attend a Timberwolves game, a Vikings game, or spend the afternoon shopping at Mall of America.
Here, we have the ability to take a little drive and have a wonderful time in Minneapolis. After we’re done, we can still head back that same night and be able to sleep in the comfort of our own beds.
