Good Morning, Baxter
If you’re waking up in the morning in Baxter, a lot of people love to take advantage of the great walking and biking trails that surround the city. In fact, they run throughout the entire city of Baxter. There are also a lot of trails that are tarred that you can enjoy via biking or walking.
After spending the morning walking the trails that crisscross the city of Baxter, a great place to go and get breakfast is Baxter Café. They have fabulous food and great service, and I personally love their Eggs Benedict. I could eat them for 24 hours a day, not just for breakfast.
Afternoon Activities
After a busy morning of walking the trails and going out for a great breakfast at Baxter Café, I like to take some time in the afternoon to go to the public beach, located at Whipple Beach. It’s tens of yards of sugar sand beach and crystal clear water on a small little lake. It’s also the only public beach in the city of Baxter.
Once you’ve finished up a day at the beach, it might be time to do a little shopping. Get in the car and head to some of the great shopping centers that Baxter has to offer. Whether it’s Costco to get everything you need, Home Depot, Walmart, or Cub Foods, there’s a shop that meets every person’s needs. Shopping is truly fantastic in the Baxter area.
Ending The Day
After a busy day of enjoying all that the Baxter area has to offer, it’s time to go for a great dinner in one of my favorite restaurants: Prairie Bay. Located right in Baxter, they have fabulous food, a tremendous wine list, and a great staff. If you get the chance, check out Prairie Bay. They’re locally owned and one of the best restaurants in the Brainerd Lakes area.
There’s no better way to end a perfect day in Baxter than to take a boat to one of the public launches. Whether you want to hit Perch Lake or White Sand Lake, going for a boat ride as the sun goes down is the ideal way to finish a great day in Baxter.
